Job/Volunteer Role Description Requirements
Board Member · Ensure effective organizational planning; · Ensure legal, ethical, moral and fiduciary integrity and maintain accountability; · Determine, monitor, and strengthen the programs and services of the organization; · Ensure adequate financial resources, approve financial plans, and oversee financial management; · Hire, support and evaluate the performance of the Executive Director, if any; and · Recruit, orient, and train board members and assess overall board performance must be a resident of the State of Texas, must be 18 years or older, must have some documented experience with working with professionals, children or youth in a service or direct practice capacity
Data Entry Volunteer The data entry volunteer will spend time entering important data for the organization. We are currently working on compiling our data in a systematic format. As we continue to work with participants and professionals in the community our lists keep growing. We are looking for someone able to transcribe and build a system for us. The work is self paced with benchmarks and deadlines by the week. We forecast a heavy start but as data is entered , we forecast a slow down in data entry. We are looking for someone with typing experience and an expert at Microsoft Excel.
Success Advisor helps to empower youth in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their potential. The mentoring program uses adult volunteers to commit to supporting, guiding, and being a friend to a young person for a period of at least one year. must be 18 years or older and meet the organization's requirements for working with youth; individuals with experience in working with at risk youth strongly preferred
Summer Camp Instructor • Conducts educational programs at school sites with group of 20 students. • Provide and promote a safe and nurturing environment that’s conducive to learning.. • Teach STEM enrichment activities to students in grades 6th -12th grade. • Assist children with detailed oriented projects and activities. • Prepare for each instructional session; organize materials as appropriate. • Provide excellent customer service to all children, families, school partners, co-workers, and community members. • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with co-workers/teammates • Maintain a clean, safe, pleasant, and enriched environment. Stipend available. Prefer candidate with social work or education field experience.must be 18 years or older and meet the organization's requirements for working with youth; individuals with experience in working with at risk youth strongly preferred
Summer Camp Counselor • The Camp Counselor plans, conducts, and leads activities while interacting and maintaining safety of participants in a camp environment. • Work is performed under immediate supervision of the Summer Camp Instructor with exercise of judgment in accordance with established policies, procedures and techniques. • This is a seasonal position. Stipend available Prefer candidate with social work or education field experience.must be 18 years or older and meet the organization's requirements for working with youth; individuals with experience in working with at risk youth strongly preferred
